This video was made by a girl, which had some problems with buliying when she was a little kid.
This video is mainly about why gossip is not good and what it can encourage people to do.
The girl says that:
Gossip is not good, it can encourage people to kill themselves due to the pressure. She talked about a huge conflict with gossip and she considered suicide.. so gossip isn't only about making people feel bad, it is bout ruining their lifes, in severe cases.
Once a guy felt soo mad about gossiping that he decided that every time he said something bad about someone he would hammer a nail into a plank of wood, with time that plank was full of nails, so he decided to change, and every time he said something nice to another person he would take one nail out... and eventually the wood had 0 nails, but it still had wholes. And that's exactly what happens with gossip, you can't take it back, you can't seal the whole, because the mean thing that you said, is still there.

This is an animated video which shows three filter questions before gossip...
Before gossiping, there should be a filtrer questions going through our minds:
- Am I sure what I´m going to say is true?
- Is it good or bad about a person?
- Is it useful to the other people?
Once we´ve answered this questions and at least 1 answer is: YES .. then go ahead, but if non of them is, then why tell it at all?Daniela Mejia 08-05-12
this video is a coverage about a phycologist which is trying to proof that gossip isn't always negative and thst it is actually good for you as an individual.
He said that:
Even if some gossips affect and hurt other people, not all gossips are bad, there are actually some positive outcomes, it actually makes some people feel better, and it is proved that over 60% of our conversations are centered around gossip. Gossip, sometimes benefits the recipient and is actually good for our health and well-being. It is a way of freeing yourself, when there's something/someone bothering you, gossip actually makes you less angry and relived.
Gossip also helps to maintain social order, by motivating individuals to act correctly, so they won't be gossiped about.

In this webpage I found when aconversation/comment is a gossip, and general information on what gossip does.Information I used:
- The majority of hurtful rumors are false. Anything that is repeated several times is often remembered differently and changed and is not the same to what was first said. Our memories are not infallible so we say things which are not true.
- Gossip makes innocent people suffer. Innocent people are not only labeled but also bullied.
- It is also one-sided, based and very prejudicial. Because wrong conclusions usually come up when someone hears only one side of a story. A gossip will tell you only what he wants you to hear.
- It destroys friendship. Irreparable harm is done to long-lasting relationships.
When Is it gossip?Daniela Mejía 13/05/12

In this page you can find what gossip is in general terms, the main reason why it is spread and which are the elements of gossip.Information I used:
Gossip generally involves the creation and repetition of rumors, frequently about a perso/individual which is not present to give his/her perspective of the situation/topic . Most of the times, gossip has no positive point/planned outcome, and is most of the times intended to create a negative image of an individual. This process (gossip) can be seen in many places/cases, such as:
- Public figures
- Family
- Friends
AcquaintancesIt is normal from people who spread rumors to not consider themselves to be gossips. It all starts with somebody saying something a a fact, even if they are not sure it is. Thus, he or she is not responsible for the repetition of the information. Anyway, gossip is not always negative in content. It is possible to create and spread rumors about positive events or attributes of another person. But even if the rumor may be considered good news to those that hear it, the information may not be a fact and could lead to negative consequences. While many rumors are considered relatively innocent, gossip has enough power to ruin lives and reputations. For this reason, it is a good idea to double check all types of information about other people before passing it on to another individual.
